On September 23, 2017, the TEDx community comes together to discuss some of the world's biggest and most pressing topics. We are excited to announce that we will be taking part in TEDx Global Day here at TEDxLakeForestCollege.
The group of individuals that are planning and hosting TEDxLakeForestCollege will come together on Global Day to watch the 2 hour NYC TEDGlobal live stream that will be taking place. Then, we will look at and discuss the questions provided by TED regarding the live stream, and develop our own input on these pressing issues. Then, that afternoon, teams around the world will all go on some kind of adventure of their choice. Some of the topics we will be covering are; war, education, climate change, renewable energy and poverty.
Since TEDx Global Day is only open to TEDx community members, we highly encourage you to contact us if you have any interest in volunteering our event or becoming part of the team in any way.
Also, we will be accepting applications for speakers starting August 1st! More information coming soon.

And the best part about it, is that all of this information is from real people telling their own stories. TED isn't fiction, it's real life evidence of interesting, outlandish, and outstanding stories. I suggest looking through this list and watching some of the talks, because I'm sure there is at least one that may interest you. That little extra bit of knowledge may become useful one day. You never know.
